Halloween Writing Contest
Halloween, the scariest festivity of the world, is celebrated the 31st of October. People tend to think Halloween is an Americanized festival of ghosts and ghouls – but….Are you aware of the true origin of this festivity? Most of the activities carried out this time of year are originally from Celtic folklore and tradition?
Nowadays, people from all over the world usually mark Halloween with what have become traditional activities – carved pumpkins, trick-or-treating, Halloween costume parties, lighting bonfires, apple bobbing, divination games, playing pranks, visiting haunted attractions, telling scary stories….
We also wanted to do something special for Halloween, therefore we organized a writing contest!
Our students were asked to write a scary story; the best stories would win TWO TICKETS to go to the cinema. And guess what? All the stories submitted were AMAZING!
So… now that the cat’s out of the bag… we want to share our short-listed literary artists with the rest of the world, here they are (If you want to have a look at the winning stories, just click the link and you will be redirected.
